There is about 45 kilometers of Ocean Front beach property, much of which is designated for single family homes. Now that oil and gas have been discovered off the coast, Marica will benefit from millions of reais in annual royalties. Large foreign interests such as Shell and Chevron will partner with Brasils Petrobras to create drilling stations, refineries, and distribution lines. Many of the executives and top employees will be looking for homes in Marica over the coming years. The drilling stations will be more than 100 kilometers off shore and the refinery about 45 kilometers inland leaving Marica as a prime and pristine area for investment and good living. Add to that, we had the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Olympics are coming to Rio de Janeiro.
