Wildlife galore with adjoining public lake and hundreds af acres of public access oak timber. The address on the property is 25119 US Highway 34, Chariton Iowa just 45 minutes South of Des Moines. We have owned the property for 19 years and it is a very nice piece of ground with a lot of potential. It is directly across the highway (#34) from Red Haw State Park with a nice view of that lake and then I also join Lake Ellis which is our City Lake. I mow right down to the water ( 50 acre lake) on that one and the City of Chariton owns the lake and several hundred acres of timber surrounding me so nobody can ever come in from that direction. It is all public access too and several trophy whitetails have been taken from my property. Priced at $75,000 and would consider trade for your coach. Rural water on property. I mow right down to the water's edge but the City of Chariton actually owns so far back (varies) form the water but it is all public access so you do not need permission to pass on that anyway. I am joined to the North of mine by all City owned very heavy timber surrounding the lake and it is excellent hunting for trophy whitetail deer, turkey, bobcat and even sighted a couple mountain lion here. I have had it sold twice now ,the first time I sold it with the attached 6-plex and it fell through the day before closing because the gal didn't get her property sold and could not come up with enough down. This last time the people wrote me a bad check for the downpayment and then still wanted me to carry them on contract. So, I guess for now the price is still $75,000 or trade for?? There is a nice old cabin next door that joins this property that will be for sale soon. The old guy died a couple years ago at age 99 and it is still in an estate. I know the guy that is to inherit it and I told him I wanted first dibs on it. It will not be very expensive and is a very nice couple acres, house and log barn and other buildings and a very nice place for campgrounds. If you want to take a look at any of these let me know.
