Description: I am looking to trade my EARTHSHIP style home on 160
acres of incredible mountain land that is just 10 miles
south of the Colorado border. My place was built by Mike Reynolds, the inventor of earthships, and completed in the summer of 2007. This one-of-a-kind house lies at the base of San Antonio Mountain, which is the largest mountain in North America not
connected to a mountain chain. The land borders the Carson National Forest and the newly designated Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument and there are
no other homes within miles so you have the utmost of privacy. The area is filled with elk, antelope, eagles,
hawks, bears, owls and all kinds of other birds and animals. The property is seven miles down a dirt and gravel
forest service road off the main highway. It is exactly one hour from Taos, an hour and a half from Sante Fe, and
less than 30 minutes to the nearest town which is Antonito, Colorado. Please keep in mind that since the property is at 9000 feet that we do get heavy snows in the winter, so sometimes access to the property can be limited. But you can snowmobile to the home or cross country ski in if the snow is too thick for a vehicle. I have the property for sale for $350,000. If your place is less then I can always take off some of the acreage to make it a more fair trade. My place is ideal as a farm or ranch, a spiritual retreat center, a horse property or just as a wonderful mountain home that you'll want to keep in the family for generations. It also has great potential as an income producer or nightly rental as EARTHSHIPS have become quite popular these days and people always want the experience of spending the night in one.
