Literally in the backyard: deer-fox-muskrat-elk-eagles-owls-cranes-others, and so much more! Also there is a small flowing creek that surrounds the property adding to it's natural beauty and appeal! "It's just pretty out here folks" come & check it out!!!

The one-of-a-kind home has two back up heating sources besides being "passive solar". It has a wood burning pellet stove and electric heating. There are also ceiling fans, and 2 shade clothes-used in the summer to help cool the home. Overall you can expect LOW utility bills because of the home's construction & alternative green design (perfect for someone retired or on a fixed income).

Like to garden? This home features a LARGE "indoor gardening space" that runs the entire length of the building, it's approximately 80l x 3h x3 1/2w. You can literally grow your own produce year round! I use to grow lettuce, tomato, herbs, flowers, you name it, just to give you an idea! The "grow box" (as I call it) is an awesome feature that you will truly enjoy! A must see to fully appreciate!

And YES, bring your Horses! Salmon is an equestrian friendly community! Our property is 6.16 ac. completely set up for horses! It offers jack rail & wood w/mesh fencing, a (matted) 2 stall barn (currently set up as one large stall). The barn is insulated, has water access, lights w/lights on timers, outside exterior motion detection lights, a small concrete area, dutch doors that open to the first paddock. An "extra room" adjoins the horse's stall area which is finished w/flooring/drywall/electric. The hay shed adjoins the opposite side of the barn and holds a couple hundred bales-keeping them nice & dry. Following the hay shed area- it opens up to a second paddock, and finally there is a nice grassy pasture located in back for your horses to enjoy!

The yard surrounding the home was barked and lightly landscaped (however the deer ate a lot of our shrubs & trees, so it's a work in progress). There is an underground watering drip irrigation for the immediate yard area landscaping. The parking around the home & office is graveled and it's good size space (i.e. you could turn a semi truck around to give you an idea).

The adjoining office space at one time was used as a medical clinic, with 2-3 (patient) rooms, several hand washing sinks, small reception area, lots of storage cabinets, w/extra outlets and wiring (to accommodate multiple medical devices). Please note: although no longer an operating business, it is still set up in this way. If not wanting a home office this space this area could be converted into "extra living" space or into whatever kind of space you want, "Space is space"...The office does have its' own entrance which is the "front door" for the building, and it also has a bath. This office adjoins the aforementioned living areas which is divided by a doorway.

Location: We got the PERFECT location! Just off hwy 93, less than one mile from "Main Street Salmon". Yet its a secluded and quiet setting that gives you privacy and a 360' views of the mountains!

And it's commutable to other close--neat areas: Missoula MT, Yellowstone, Boise, Sun Valley ID. just to name a few place we enjoyed living close too!
