(2) There is a real quality of life in Idaho! Salmon is a progressive and artistic community w/all the modern amenities of any big city. Don't let the location fool you! Salmon is a valley surrounded by gorgeous mountains! It has 4 seasons without cold harsh temperatures (the mountains protect the Salmon valley from the harsher weather). It snows more in the higher surrounding elevation areas, but the city of Salmon itself will get snow and then it usually melts off in a few days.
Don't know the Salmon area? Rent the Brad Pitt movie "A River Runs Through It" it will show you a lot of the area! Some of the movie was filmed in Salmon, and much of it was filmed in nearby adjoining communities towards the MT border.
