Fuse3D Support

How can we help?

Fuse3D is a free, on-device 3D scanner for iPhone. It has no accounts, no analytics, and no servers, so most questions come down to what's on your device. If something isn't covered below, reach out directly.

Frequently asked

What do the different scan modes do?

Fuse3D includes seven modes: LiDAR Mesh and Point Cloud for fast rear-sensor scans, Gaussian Splat for photoreal radiance-field captures, Photogrammetry for still-photo based reconstruction, TrueDepth for close-up scanning with the front camera, CAD Scan for clean, dimensioned geometry, and Hybrid, the signature mode, which fuses the rear LiDAR base shape with front-camera fine detail and full-color texture into one model.

My scan looks warped, doubled, or "ghosted." Why?

This usually happens when the phone moves faster than the tracker can keep up, or when scanning a low-texture surface (blank walls, glossy objects). Move slowly and steadily, keep the object in view the whole time, and try scanning in a well-lit room. If it keeps happening on a specific object, try Hybrid or LiDAR Mesh mode, which are the most tolerant of tricky surfaces.

Where are my scans stored?

Everything stays on your iPhone, nothing is uploaded anywhere. Scans live in the Files app under On My iPhone → Fuse3D → Scans, and you can export a mesh (OBJ, PLY, STL, or USDZ) from within the app to share or open elsewhere.

Which iPhones are supported?

Fuse3D targets iPhone Pro models with LiDAR, running the current iOS. Modes that don't need LiDAR (Photogrammetry, TrueDepth on supported devices) have wider compatibility, but for the best experience, and especially for Hybrid mode, a Pro model is recommended.

Does Fuse3D collect any data about me?

No. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no network calls of any kind. Camera and LiDAR data are processed entirely on-device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Can I get a refund / is there a paid version?

Fuse3D is completely free with no paywall, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, so there's nothing to refund.
