The house is custom built and sits atop a hill overlooking the town of Monte Gordo and the ocean as well. There are coconut trees (delicious sweet fresh coconut water), mango trees, breadfruit trees, avocado trees, limes, monkeys and birds, good pasture grass for grazing. It's a gentleman's horse ranch although we've grazed cows too.The main house has 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms plus a housekeeper's bedroom & bathroom off the back patio. There is a kitchen and living room on the main floor. Big floor to ceiling picture windows throughout with ocean views and breezes. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, en suite bathrooms and private covered balconies offering really beautiful ocean views. The secondary house has a large open salon with bathroom plus a caretaker's apartment (kitchenette, sitting area, bedroom and bathroom). There's a third small outbuilding that was originally built for a child as a playhouse but would make a nice studio. The in-ground tiled pool is long and deep: great for lap swimming or diving in the deep end. There's a pool shower and another half bathroom in the pool area. A covered patio "churrasco" or barbecue area has a sink, food prep counter, seating and a bricked grill with chimney. A long treed lit private driveway leads from the entry gate at the road up to the house. Delicious abundant well water. The town is about a 15 minute walk and has all necessary amenities including grocery store, restaurants, bars, dentist, medical care, Sunday market etc. The international airport is only 40 minutes or so south accessed by a smooth strand of highway called the Estrada de Coco (Coconut Highway). It runs along the coast and passes through lovely beach towns like Arimbepe. Excellent temperate weather, lovely beaches, fresh fish, fresh coconut water. The closest beach is Guarajuba which is a couple miles from the property: beautiful sandy beaches, fresh seafood, "barracas" (restaurant/bars on the sand), palm trees. Guarajuba is one of the most desirable beach towns in Bahia with very upscale architecture, yet remarkably relaxed and low key. The owner has three adjacent, contiguous parcels: the advertised property is located on a 14 acre parcel, and two adjacent parcels which add almost 20 acres (one parcel is 2.5 acres, the other is 17.3 acres). If someone is interested in all three parcels, the owner is open to negotiation.
